Selling large furniture is easy also but please send or bring us photos and information first. Consigning Women will price your merchandise to provide you fair market value, while also offering value to our customers. It is our policy not to compromise the consigned price by allowing offers, bargains, or negotiations around the established price. Consignors sign a written agreement with us which supports this policy. Consigning Women applies the following initial price and subsequent markdown schedule during a 90-day consignment period:
1st 30-day period:
Your consigned items are displayed and offered for sale at fair market pricing determined by Consigning Women.
2nd 30-day period:
Merchandise that has not sold will be reduced. This is the one-month milestone from the consignment date.
The remaining unsold items will be reduced. This is the second and final month milestone from the consignment date.
The consignor may withdraw items at any time before the 90-day consignment period has elapsed, but a withdrawal fee is charged for this. The consignor will pay a fee equal to 15% of the original selling price of the reclaimed item(s), due at the time of item removal from the store.
At Consigned Women Fine Furnishings, our consignors receive 50% of the selling price of an item during the first 60 days of the consignment period. If the item sells during the final 30 days of the 90-day consignment period, consignors receive 45% of the selling price. Consignor checks are run in a batch usually on the last day of each month, and mailed the next day. In the event that any merchandise has not sold during the 90-day period, we will mail a notice to each consignor asking them to either pick up the item(s) or tell us to donate them. If the merchandise is not picked up by the date listed in the expiration letter, Consigning Women will donate the item(s), in the consignor’s behalf, to the charity of the store’s choice.
